Play Halo 4, Earn Microsoft Points

Microsoft is rewarding gamers for purchasing Halo content on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and for simply playing Halo 4 multiplayer on Xbox LIVE with Microsoft Points. Every player can earn up to a total of 800 MS Points and must be an Xbox Live Rewards member in order to qualify.

Gamers who play at least 35 hours of Halo 4 multiplayer will earn 100 MS points; at least 70 hours nets you 300 MS Points, and 140 or more hours will earn you 600 points.

By spending 1500 or more MS Points on Halo content, gamers will receive — or be refunded — 100 MS Points; spending 3000 or more will be rewarded with 200 MS Points.

Sounds tempting, an interesting way to keep promoting the product. I wonder what Microsoft gets out of it for giving players arbitrary currency(related to cash.)
