Play on Your PC Remotely with NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 Tablet

During tonight’s NVIDIA Press Conference at CES 2012, the tech company showed off the prowess of its Tegra 3 tablet. By means of the tablet’s Splashtop app, the demonstrator remotely logged into a PC and utilized its full capabilities — a first in tablet technology.

While the app didn’t properly load the first time around, the presenter saved face by saying, “If it worked perfectly, it wouldn’t be a demo, now would it?”

Web browsers, media players, and even games ran perfectly. To earn credit with the gamer crowd, NVIDIA even brought out pro gamer Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel to remotely play Skyrim with the Tegra 3. Although the sentiment was marred by the presenter labeling Skyrim “the latest game that just came out,” Wendel seemed impressed, stating the Tegra 3 was very responsive and that “playing games is definitely possible.”
