PlayStation 4 Reports Suggest $400+ Price Tag, Feb. 20 Reveal

The PlayStation 4‘s launch price will be approximately $428, according to major Japanese daily the Asahi Shimbun, which priced it at over 40,000 yen.

This price is significantly lower than the PlayStation 3′s $599 out-of-the-gate cost for the most expensive configuration, and expectantly higher than the PS3′s current $269 price tag. The report goes on to suggest that the PS4 will launch in 2013 in the US and Japan, and that the controller will feature a touch pad and be roughly the same shape as the current Dual Shock 3.

The Asahi Shimbun and The Nikkei business daily also corroborate reports that Sony will official unveil the PlayStation 4 on Feb. 20.

So with tax and insurance its going to be over 500 bucks either way.
I’m really tired of spending over 300 dollars on a console with no game.

I really think they are doing this to sell more PS3 and PSP vitas.
I will not pay this price for a console anymore.

PFFTTT ha ha ha, have you checked Sony’s cloud-platform, GaiKai website lately?? Perhaps it’s the only way to begin real conspiracy speculations…
