Well, it’s official: Pokemon Snap is making it’s way to the Wii on the U.S. Virtual Console. The game was a pretty under appreciated when it came out for the N64 — partly because it came out at a time when Pokemon were freakin’ everywhere — but it was actually quite an amusing little gem. The game had you riding around in a little cart, photographing Pokemon in their natural environment and trying to coax rarer Pokemon out with specific items. For the re-release though, Nintendo has decided to add a new feature that allows you to e-mail the pictures you take to your Wii friends. Yeah, I know, that is pretty lame; but hopefully it opens the way for more VC titles to get some new functions added. And hopefully more of those new functions include the words “online multiplayer.”
