Portal 2 Portrait, Borealis and Vitrified Doors Achievements

Looking through our Portal 2 Strategy Guide? In chapters 5, 6 and 7 are a few hidden areas where you’ll discover a few awesome things from Aperture Science’s past. All three of these are tied to Achievements and Trophies, and they also reveal things about how Aperture relates to the larger universe of Half-Life and the creation of GLaDOS.

WARNING: SPOILERS WITHIN!

Portrait of a Lady

Find this hidden room to snag the “Portrait of a Lady” Achievement or Trophy, and also get a little bit of extra story about the characters of Portal 2.

Vitrified Doors

Chapter 6 has six doors that are marked “Vitrified.” They all used to be test chambers that were sealed off, and each one gives you a little bit of Cave Johnson wisdom when you hit the squawk box beside it. Listen to them all to learn a little more about what Aperture Science was up to, as well as snag the “Door Prize” Achievement or Trophy.

The Borealis‘ Docking Slip

In Half-Life 2: Episode 2, near the end of the episode, the characters in that game discover a ship they describe as being “near-legendary.” It’s the Borealis, an Aperture Science ship that seems to have been missing for some time. In Chapter 6, you can discover where the ship is supposed to be, as well unlock the “Ship Overboard” Achievement or Trophy.

It’s a puzzle game retard.DUH.There r other games besides lo and of duty. Also its spelled dots. Not diots.Actually, adding guns to this game would mk it boring. There’s nothing 2 shoot so wat good would guns do genius?

You’ve never seen it?So who gave u the right 2 judge a game you’ve never even seen? How’s he going to cross a bottomless gap with a normal gun smart one? This game tests your intelligence so you’d probably suck at it anyway.

Iv’e been looking at your file maxime, due to the fact that you think having a gun in an area with nothing to shoot in the enrichment center reenforces the fact the you file say your IQ is 5. Your file say your fat too. ill test you next just to kill you and get over with it.

@ GlaDOS
I agree with your general point, but there are a few things to shoot, like turrets and screens and mirrors but you can pick a turret up and it shoots where you point at first anyway, doesn’t it. And we get Thermal Dis-encouragement Beams that blow turrets up instantly. Much better than guns any day. Actually, that said, why isnt there some crazy gun/harpoon/rocket launcher just for a little help with getting rid of wheatley, although I suppose the vacuum of space is a pretty crazy weapon, a harpoon gun would have been so much more fun for taking out the cores.
But back to the point….. when people hear things about a game, they should at least damn play the game before they decide to “slag it off” or call it anything at all. Maxime, please go crawl into a dark place and die, damn bith. And yes, I know i missed the C, Its for dramatic effect dammit.
