Portal 2 Soundtrack Collector’s Edition Comes with Mini-Comic

You can already get the full soundtrack from Portal 2, dubbed “Songs to Test By,” for free digitally — but if you want something a little more physical and pretty, you might consider the four-disc Collector’s Edition.

Valve is releasing the Collector’s Edition on Oct. 30, and you can expect it to include tracks from both the first Portal, as well as the full album from Portal 2. The album will also include a mini-comic called “Turret Lullaby.”

Of course, you don’t have to pay for any of this, which is awfully cool of Valve in the first place. “Songs to Test By” is available for free download right here already; “Turret Lullaby” can be read online right here. But if you’d rather give Valve a little financial recompense for being nice, or if you’re the kind of person who prefers actual discs to intangible data, the Collector’s Edition might be for you. The soundtrack is certainly worth it.

Unfortunately, there’s no word on price, but it seems likely you’ll be able to get the soundtrack from the Valve Store, and I have a feeling it’ll be available through other music outlets as well.
