Dad Gives Son a Portal Gun in Fan Video

One enterprising father has created a video imagining what would happen if his 3 year old got his hands on a working Portal gun.

The video, which clocks in at 37 seconds long, was made by Daniel Hashimoto for his YouTube Channel Action Movie Kid. The video opens with the camera focused in on Hashimoto’s son who is holding a gun from Portal. Said son of course promptly fires the gun at a wall and then creates a link portal beneath his feet. Sucked into the portal, the adventurous tot winds up in an infinite falling loop where he laughs and giggles as his father calls for help.

Setting aside the inherent horror of a toddler being trapped in a never ending inter-dimensional loop, the video is fairly amusing and impressively well done. Hashimoto made it using the Adobe’s After Effects program. The child-sized Portal gun meanwhile was fashioned by Jason Stovall.

Cute video although, as his speed increased, he would ‘fall’ farther out from the wall and start to miss the portal on the ground.
