Pre-Order Black Ops 2, Get “Updated” Nuketown Bonus Map

Publishers love pre-orders, though they don’t often provide pre-order bonuses that people might actually want. That trend changed today when the news hit via IGN and a number of other outlets, who reported that people who pre-order Black Ops 2 will receive a “reimagined” version of the popular Nuketown map from the original Black Ops. Black Ops 2 may already have broken a number of pre-order records, but return of a fan-favorite is sure to drive those numbers even higher.
Below, you can inspect the promo copy that eagle-eyed Call of Duty fans have been taking pictures of all day. One assumes Treyarch will keep the close-quarters combat (which made Nuketown a hit in the first place), though it’s harder to predict how the map will evolve from its bucolic “50′s surburbia about to get nuked” setting into “Nuketown 2025.”
