Pre-order Bonuses for Total War: Shogun 2

Total War: Shogun 2 is one of those rare PC-exclusive AAA titles, and it’s behaving like one; if you pre-order the game from GameStop or Best Buy, you get bonus stuff!

The Best Buy bonus doesn’t seem all that, but GameStop has an actual bonus battle you can take part in, which makes it seem like a good option even if you’re not hot on giving them your business. Here’s the full deets:

Players who pre-order at GameStop (online or in-store) will unlock and take part in The Historic Battle of Kawagoe. Set in 1545, the Battle of Kawagoe saw the Hõjõ clan launch a successful night time counter-attack against the besieging Uesugi, eschewing heavy armor and the collection of heads in favor of speed and stealth.

Those who pre-order at Best Buy (in-store only) will unlock 1,000 Koku, the currency used in Total War: SHOGUN 2. Player’s campaigns will begin with 1,000 Koku, allowing them to purchase new buildings, train new units and upgrade their towns.

The game, as you know, is out March 15. In case you missed it, here are the game’s PC requirements.
