Primal Carnage Reveals New Class, New Dinosaur

I had great fun playing Primal Carnage at PAX East, and it’s good to see Lukewarm Media’s dinos-vs-mercs FPS title stomping towards completion on gigantic, be-taloned feet. Today’s news concerns additions to the roster on both the dinosaur and human side of the equation.

The Flamesaw is, as his name implies, a man wielding a flamethrower with an attached chainsaw. If you get in his way, prepare to be flambeed then diced like the Cretacean equivalent of Bananas Foster. Also announced is the Carnotaurus, a medium-sized dinosaur that charges into enemies like a runaway freight train. The trailer below shows off these two in action, as well as a neat night-time setting with some convincing weather effects. After all, as Jurassic Park taught us, the best time for a dinosaur showdown is during a sudden tropical downpour.
