Prison Architect Raises $100,000 in 72 hours

British game developer Introversion Software made its upcoming Prison Architect game available as a paid alpha preorder 26 September, and it has already made well over $100,000.

Co-founders Mark Morris and Chris Delay revealed at the Eurogamer Expo last week the impressive sales figures, stating that they were “absolutely stunned” by the reaction.

“We feel like this approach that we’ve taken has been really successful,” said Morris. You’re telling me.

Prison Architect is a top-down construction and management sim in which players take control of a maximum security prison. Upcoming features, as revealed at the Expo, include locked doors, tunneling, riots, and possibly even gangs.
