Pro Gamer Teams with Razer to Raise $1 Million for Charity

Professional gamer Athene has helped raise more than $1 million for the charity ShareCraft 2012 — Save the Children Challenge. More than 22,000 people have donated to the fundraiser, bringing the total to just over $500,000; DC Entertainment is matching the total, bringing it to more than $1 million.

The fundraiser has about a day left to raise money for Save the Children, a charity focused on helping children around the world when disaster strikes. You can check it out (and donate) right here.

Through his passion and commitment, Athene has inspired his friends, fans, followers and the gaming community at-large to raise $1 million, with 90% of those donations going directly to those fighting to survive the worst hunger crisis in the past 60 years. DC Entertainment pledged to match 100% of donations up to $1 million, which accounts for 50% of the running total.
