Prodigy is a New Figurine Video Game From Jean Bey

The crossover genre of physical toys and video games has thus far been targeted at a younger audience with the likes of Skylanders and Disney’s Infinity. It appears that will change with Prodigy, a new figurine/RPG video game from Jean Bey, creator of tabletop fantasy miniature franchise Confrontation.

At this point, we have little to go on other than what’s seen in the teaser trailer above and a brief statement from the folks at Hanakai Studios:

Hanakai Studio is proud to announce Prodigy: a new tactical RPG experience that combines the world of figurines with video games, allowing players to interact with the game like never before. Prodigy combines the world of high-quality figurines with video games, and its extraordinary universe and design are just the start.

Features, platforms, release dates, and pricing remain a mystery. We’ll let you know when we learn more, but for now, keep an eye on the just launched Prodigy website.
