PS3 Exclusive Tomb Raider Trilogy Confirmed

There have been rumors making the round of the internet for a while that a Tomb Raider trilogy (like the God of War Collection) would be appearing this year. These rumors seemed to be confirmed by retailer listings that appeared in December, and they’ve now been officially confirmed by Square Enix.

The trilogy, which will be exclusive to the PS3, will contain Tomb Raider Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary remastered in HD, as well as Tomb Raider Underworld. The disc-based trilogy will also include the following extras:

  • Tomb Raider Trilogy PS3 theme pack
  • Official Lara Croft female Home avatar outfit
  • Viking Thrall male Home avatar outfit
  • A collection of “Making of” game trailers

In the press release announcing the upcoming release, Crystal Dynamics studio head Darrell Gallagher said,

We’re really excited to be able to offer gamers the chance to play both Legend and Anniversary remastered in high definition on the PlayStation 3. These are two titles we are extremely proud to have created.

You can expect to see this trilogy on shelves March 22, 2011. It’ll run you $39.99.
