
A new firmware update is now available for the PlayStation 3, and while it doesn’t add any new features, it’s one you’ll certainly want to download as soon as possible. Stability across the board has been improved, including the following areas:

I’m not saying fixing stuff is bad, but why should it need fixing in the first place? Aren’t these the kind of things that should, you know, maybe be good when it’s released?
Why it is lately more and more developers for all things related to games seem to take the half-arsed approach, relying on the fact they can ‘simply patch it later’?

i downloaded the ps3 update 2.01, and now ps2 games that once worked on the ps3 dont, any ideas why? i mean they were working before i installed 2.01. is this an unrelated issue or does the 2.01 update cause this?
