Sony has announced they will be launching an on demand video service in Japan for the PS3 early next year. The service will at kick off with a few motor-racing videos and a BBC documentary on cars. The videos are intended to promote the upcoming PSN game, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and will cost about $1.85 each. The first part of the three-part documentary will be available for free through Dec. 6. The other two parts will go online along with the game on Dec. 13. Sony has also indicated they will be expanding the VOD service later next year.
