PS3 Skyrim Players — Dawnguard is Finally Here!

Rejoice, Playstation 3-owning players of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Almost 15 months after the game’s initial release and eight months after it was launched on Xbox 360, the first DLC pack for Skyrim, Dawnguard, is finally coming to Playstation 3.

Bethesda has been fighting through technical issues with its DLC literally for months, and there was a point at which the developer wasn’t sure Dawnguard would ever make it to Sony’s system. Once it finally started to get things worked out with bringing its three DLC packs, Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn, to PS3, it decided to do them in reverse order. That makes Dawnguard the last pack to make the jump, and it’s finally available in the Playstation Network Store starting today. You can nab it for $9.99. That price, which is half-off the usual $19.99 rate, is good through the remainder of launch week.

Dawnguard is all about vampires and includes two parallel stories players can work through — one as a vampire slayer, and the other as a vampire. It also includes new play mechanics, like the ability to transform into a giant man-bat Vampire Lord and generally murder a lot of people.

So after all this time — are you going to be buying Dawnguard on PS3?

You still have to deal with every skyrim topic get dragged back to the facking PS3 version (and pretty much XBOX360) not having a strong mod community, if at all.
