PS4: List of Confirmed Titles Includes Witcher 3

Drive Club

Developer: Evolution Studios

The first racing game announced for the PS4 has a heavy emphasis for co-op and team based racing. Much of the focus revolves around the social connections and the car cultures. The game was developed with the assistance of “the greatest car companies in the world”, such as BMW, Maserati, and Mercedes.

In the demo, we watched microscopically detailed cars race through a variety of tracks and courses. You’re playing in first person as the driver. The touted social features of the game involved one example where a player can select a track, select the weather and issue a challenge to players or teams around the world. The game also features a leveling up system where players can earn experience points (presumably to unlock select perks).

Killzone: Shadowfall

Developer: Guerilla

We were treated to a demo of a player flying through a futuristic looking city called Vekta City. It reminded me a little bit of Mass Effect 3. Just watch the video above!

It’s an FPS title from Guerilla and it looks absolutely stunning. The demo did cover a number of aspects that are critical to the FPS experience:

  • Knifing an enemy
  • Sniping an enemy
  • Being knocked down
  • Slow motion toggling
  • Throwing a grenade
  • Covering, vaulting, and sprinting

Infamous: Second Son

Developer: Sucker Punch

A trailer for the inFAMOUS franchise was shown. The setting is in a world where citizens rights no longer exist and surveillance cameras and technology are all over the place. In this dystopian world, mutants are using their abilities to challenge the present authority. It doesn’t appear to be related to the events of inFAMOUS 2.

@Luther

I was hoping to see the machine itself, too. We’ll probably see it at E3, though.

I’m happy to see The Witcher 3 on this list, even if I’ll be getting the PC version. I have saves to transfer, after all.
