PS4: List of Confirmed Titles Includes Witcher 3

Developer: Japan Studio

Knack appears to be a third-person action game. The trailer showed a city being invaded by orcs. A host of cartoon looking characters are gathered around discussing battle strategy and one of them introduces a secret weapon that he’s been working on. He leads them to a lab and unveils Knack, a type of golem, who consists of a large amount of different bits and particles. He can come together and assume different shapes or sizes in order to defeat enemies and get past certain obstacles.

Final Fantasy

Developer: Square Enix

Square Enix showcased a cinematic demo for the company’s upcoming PS4-based engine. Other than that, all we know is that we’re getting another Final Fantasy title this year. Isn’t it about time they dropped “Final” from the title, though? Alas, no other details were revealed about the game. However, we were instructed by Shinji Hashimoto, the brand director for the Final Fantasy series, to “Be excited for E3 this year.”

Deep Down

Developer: Capcom

Deep Down is a working title from Capcom that was announced by Yoshinori Ono. The video above shows the announcement and gameplay footage of a soldier in medievalĀ setting engaging a really large dragon on foot. You can see the shield he uses literally melt in the flames of the dragon’s breath. Deep Down is running on Capcom’s next generating Panta Rhei engine.

At the end of the trailer, you can see the social component of the PS4 network come into play as the player is asking for assistance in the form of gear to help combat the beast.

I was hoping to see the machine itself, too. We’ll probably see it at E3, though.

I’m happy to see The Witcher 3 on this list, even if I’ll be getting the PC version. I have saves to transfer, after all.
