PSA: Get All Borderlands 2 DLC With The Season Pass

I’m on the moral fence about DLC. On the one hand, I positively love expanding a game, making an already complete package bigger. More to love is never a bad thing. Unless, of course, the DLC is composed mainly of stuff removed from the main game in order to nickel and dime players out of their money. Mass Effect 3 definitely falls within the latter category; both From Ashes and The Leviathan DLC packets should have been on disc, seriously y’all. On the other hand, Saints Row The Third falls into the former, with the story-based DLC packets existing as purely stand alone episodes within the context of the game, but not otherwise related to the main story. Which is why I didn’t feel ripped off and willingly purchased the SR3 season pass, which gave me access to all the story-based DLC at a deep discount.

I bring this up because, via NeoGaf, Gearbox has announced that Borderlands 2 will have a season pass of its own, and it sounds like an incredible deal. There are 4 planned campaign DLC packets, which will add a ton of new content to the single player game. For $29.99, the BL2 season pass gets you all for packets, which amounts to a 25% discount.

Carry on.

I ended up getting 3 of the 4 DLCs for Borderlands 1. Ive made it a point to pre-order B2 which is an exceedingly rare thing for me. I think I could easily see myself getting the season pass for this.

Also, Ross I completely agree with your assessment of DLC in general.

As much as I loved Borderlands and really liked most of the DLCs, and I already pre-ordered BL2, I just can’t see myself getting this. Too much of a faith system for my taste. I would rather wait and see what each DLC is before I decide if I’m going to get it. For instance, what if one of the DLCs turns out to be all about PVP, something which I have absolutely no interest in? This is something I won’t do even with my favorite and most trusted devs.

How about the PC version and where can I buy a game with all the DLC’s on it?
