PSA: Get Your Spec Ops: The Line Demo on XBL, PSN

The demo for Spec Ops: The Line is up and running and if you’re looking to give the upcoming third-person shooter a spin, you totally can — if you have access to the Playstation Network or an Xbox Live Gold membership. Unfortunately, no PC demo.

Here’s a description of the demo from a press release issued by 2K Games:

“The single-player narrative unfolds within Dubai after a series of cataclysmic sandstorms cut the city off from the rest of the world. Playing as Captain Martin Walker, gamers add to the city’s destruction by engaging in action-packed firefights as they search for Colonel John Konrad and his missing battalion, The Damned 33rd. In search of answers and survivors, players who experience the demo will tear through portions of two early chapters of Spec Ops: The Line.”

If you’re unfamiliar, Spec Ops: The Line is a military shooter tinged with moral decisions. You’re going to need to make some tough decisions, and it’s going to be a much darker look at being a soldier and fighting a war than most other video games. You ought to check out Ben Richardson’s preview of the game from PAX East.

We’ve also got a trailer with multiplayer info right here.
