There’s been some confusion recently about how the SOCOM beta program is going to work. If you bought the first episode of Qore (or a subscription), you gained yourself access to the SOCOM Confrontation beta. But, you won’t be getting in as early as possible — that’s a privilege reserved for those who pre-order the game.
SOCOM‘s official website had the following message posted on it: “Just to clear up a few frequently asked questions- Qore gives access to the public SOCOM beta two weeks after the public beta launches. There are other ways to get into the public beta beforehand, like the upcoming preorder program, so don’t worry about the ratio of non-SOCOM fans to SOCOM fanatics.”

PS3 Fanboy got an update from Veronica Belmont, who said, “If you buy the pre-order for SOCOM with the headset, and put $5 down for the beta, you’ll get it a bit before ours (and that’s depending on if everything ships as planned, too). They’re not the same beta. Otherwise, our beta is still before anyone else will get it.”
So should there have been more notice about this before Qore claimed you’d be getting into the beta?
