    1. Accept this mission from Redstone during the Gaining Influence objectives.
    2. After receiving the key, exit the office and move towards the back of the area by the top of the other stair case. Enter the room on the left marked “Management Office”, then follow the corridor around to reach the Gearhead Vault.
    3. Once inside, climb up the steps ahead and avoid touching the mine that hangs from the ceiling. Take cover behind one of the cars and use a sniper rifle or machine gun to eliminate the enemies in the area ahead on the right.
    4. Collect supplies off the crates and move towards the back left corner of the area, then continue eliminating enemies ahead and make a left into the next room. Take out the enemies ahead, then turn left clear the room until the armored gearhead with the mini-gun emerges.
    5. Take cover, then use grenades and relentless head shots via the sniper rifler until the larger enemy is defeated. Move up the hill of debris that the armored gearhead came down from and make a left at the top, then make another left and continue forward to climb another hill of debris.
    6. Approach the tree and eliminate the enemies that appear, then collect the supplies around the area and enter the bar to collect more supplies. Climb the ladder in the bar and move forward, then take cover and eliminate the enemies ahead.
    7. Move around the balcony and collect the supplies, then eliminate the enemies on the other side of the room and continue forward. Turn the valve on the wall in front of jets of fire to deactivate them, then continue forward and activate the panel on the lift to descend.
    8. Turn around and eliminate the enemy in the doorway, then move into the area he was protecting and eliminate the gearheads behind cover. Move towards the back left corner of the room and continue eliminating enemies until the armored gearhead with the mini-gun emerges, then use the same tactics as before to defeat him.
    9. Continue forward and move through the doorway on the left, then follow the hallway into the next room and collect supplies. Approach the doorway in the corner to make the flame jets activate, then use the surrounding rooms as cover to eliminate the two armored gearheads with mini-guns.
    10. Exit through the doorway previously guarded by flames and move up the stairs to the left, then eliminate the enemy at the top and continue forward. Move through the area with plane propellers and enter the vault on the left, then pick up the Plutonium Fultrite at the back of the room.
    11. Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: Vault Assault (Bronze): Complete Gearhead Vault in the Campaign.
    12. Exit the vault and fire upon the flamethrower enemy until you can ignite his pack to blow him up, then return to the propeller room when the jets have rescinded and eliminate the gearheads behind cover. Approach the exit to this room and turn left when the bars drop, then eliminate the armored enemy that appears and move through the opening he created.
    13. Move down the staircase to the left and make your way forward, then eliminate the enemies that emerge and enter the doorway to the left. Follow the hallway around to the valve in front of the fire jets, then turn it to deactivate them and continue forward.
    14. Enter the room at the back with the tree and use your sniper rifle to shoot the tanks on both of the flamethrower enemies that appear. Move down the steps nearby and make a right, then head down the ramp to the level below and return to the door that leads back to Subway Town.
    15. Speak with Redstone in his office to complete the mission.

nice walkthrough vids … in Part 6 it’s much easier to take down bad guys on the barricade with the sniper if you aim and then use additional zoom (i think it’s the action button/key – A on xbox and E on PC).

After killing the boss in the hospital(big one) i went to the lobby, got up the escalators and went to a passage on the right. I can already see the room with the defibrilator, but the door is locked. Is it some kind of bug or i didn’t do smth?

    On October 11, 2011 at 2:09 pm

@Napster. It shouldn’t be locked. The defibrillator is on the console beneath the blinking screen in the lab area. The lab area is through the back of the hospital room that’s covered and dripping with blood on the left side of the hallway. This is in the bloody hallway on the right after climbing the escalators. Hope that helps.

Rage was one of the easiest games I played. With no multiplayer, this game is very limited with low replay value.

    @Napster
I have the same problem door won’t open and I can only go back as far as the giant I just killed. Plus I just quick-saved so I think I’m F’d.

Same prob as above the defib room door is locked, red x when I approach the door, must be a bug.

    Had the same problem.

Restarted boss battle beat him, and then quickly went to room killing along the way but do it fast.

Security camera will turn green and let you in.

Seems to be a timed event because doing it slowly caused the lockout problem.

    Hope it works.

Please tell me how to get back to the Resistance Base so that I can talk to Marshall, so that I can finish the Gaining Influence task in the Subway Town

    On October 18, 2011 at 12:24 pm

Just use the elevator near your garage door to go down to Resistance Base. That’s where you first came to the Subway Town.

    Hi Rico,

I have found my way out. I am not sure if this will work, but here what I have done. I restarted the mission To recover the ID drive and once you have recover the ID, you turn around and see one of those things that flies and laser point you. I shoot it few times, which I have not done previously and boom. I went back to the captain and it was no longer stuck… I say try it.

i play the game on pc but i use a xboc controller when i aim the captain and the letter “a” is shown i speak to him!!! i dont think its relative with xbox, pc and xbox have the option to save!!! save before you go talk him if he recovers the disc you have to protect him and wait!!! save often and how to play a mission with out startin from the beginning the game autosaves when you change locations just go to the main menu select campain continue game or load the game you have saved!!!

The story is an old one and not particularly inventive. The game looks great, runs well, and is a solid shooter if you crank up the difficulty. The cars are a nice touch as well. It was good, could have been so much more though… IMAO.

hey guys, it’s a shame that there are no walkthroughs on “job-board-jobs”. Im trying to finish “help wanted” (deactivating Authorities generators in former gearhead vault), none of the three are working and yet the questlog still tells me I have to deactivate the third one… any ideas?
    Thx

ok completed the single player mode on “nightmare” level and … well…. wasnt so nightmarish… anyone who has played the doom style fps will have a good handle on the tactics needed to play on this lvl.. there were a few moments which stared to get a little worrisome, but easily handled if you had enough ammo… I dont know if this was a glitch, or what but for $60.00 I had expected a bit harder “hardcore” mode… so that I would be able to play a bit longer than 30 hrs… all in all though I did enjoy it and with the option for DLC maybe there will be addons to come.. 7.5 out of 10… addendum: have not played multiplayer so I’ll give that a look see and see if this is where the “money” went on development… lol

good game overall. How do any of you think this game compares to fall out 3? iver never played it. Pros? cons?

    On November 14, 2011 at 8:13 pm

@Lethys, I had sort of the same problem. In my case, the third generator had a faint glow around the very bottom, and the energy pad beside was still on. I could not damage it anymore with EMP or pulse or anything, so had to start mission from beginning. I had a quicksave before I entered the door, and replayed the entire thing. It worked the 2nd time.

Sounds to me like Bethesda threw this god damn game out with no concern on fixing stupid bugs like these, it’s awful, i bought the game used and I still feel ripped off. I shouldn’t HAVE to go on the internet to figure out how to fix the 2 or 3 bugs i’ve ran into so far. Unacceptable.
