Red Alert 3 Looks Sweet Already

redalert3screen1-1.jpg

EA apparently decided to declare today “Red Thursday” as they are now officially announcing Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 (as opposed to the information getting leaked by two magazine covers). Along with that, they released a video of executive producer, Chris Corry, discussing the upcoming game as well as a few screenshots. There are only two images showing any actual in-game footage, but so far, it looks pretty good. Besides, where else are you going to find a franchise set in an alternate history where Einstein traveled back in time to kill Hitler, leading the Soviets unopposed to build up their forces for world domination through mind control?

All I have to say is, I’m going to kick all of your asses, baby!

I was once immortal at Red Alert 2, and part three will be no different. The only problem I have with the engine so far is that it doesn’t look like it zooms out enough, just like C&C3! I mean, come on you dumbasses at EA, RA2 was practicalyl viewed from the sky, partly because it was 2D1/2 but I just can’t see wanting to control more of the map if it doesn’t zoom out far.

Someone agree with me or say goodbye to your favorite person!

Ok, I’ve just played it for the first time and the zoom is awful.
Will someone at EA please release a patch which increases the amount by which we can zoom out.

PLEASE, i can’t see or control the units, it’s claustrophobic !

thanks.

The zoom is pathetic.
The game speed is fixed.
RA3 is such a dissapointment.
I’ll have to go back to playing Supreme Commander, a real RTS.

Oooh my god, ‘Gamer’, you’re so correct. The zoom is horrific, its zoomed in wayy too far, i’ve been playing Supreme Commander lately and that is insane compared to RA3. I’ve been a massive fan of the whole c&c franchise but have been bitterly disappointed with c&c3 and ra3. Supreme Commander and its kick ass zoom out & in ability, FTW!!! =]]
