Red Faction Stuntmen Mo-Cap (Video)

In a recently released video, we get a sneak peak at some action packed cinematics in Red Faction: Armageddon through behind the scenes motion capture recordings.

One actor does the voice, stunts, and facial expressions of a character — in most other games, two or three actors handle these separately, resulting in much less cohesion. Instead of being confined in a small sound booth, actors work together on a stage, resulting in an authentic performance you can see right here.

After interviewing Victor Zordan, it seems like the future of mo-cap will move away from requiring actors to run, jump, and perform stunts, but for the time being, this looks like an impressive set up.

Red Faction: Armageddon is scheduled for launch on PC, PS3 and X-Box 360 on June 7.
