Redbox’s Poll: At Least Some Dads Play Video Games (INFOGRAPHIC)

My love of video games and the colossal amounts of time and money I’d eventually spend on them started with my father and his Super Mario Bros. skills.

Our initial Nintendo Entertainment System was a toy apparently my parents thought they’d enjoy, and there was a time that my dad was damn good at Koopa-crushing and Bowser-bashing. He’s fallen off the wagon of keeping up with games, what with kids to raise and mockery to avoid, but as Redbox has discovered, there are a whole lot of other gamer dads out there, and they seem to be playing the Wii, at least in some capacity.

Check out the infographic below, which is the result of a survey of 500 Redbox customer dads who identified themselves as playing video games, and is part of Redbox’s marketing as it starts to offer video games in its various rental vending machine things across the country. Obviously I wouldn’t take this as scientific fact, but does make for some interesting info.
