Reddit User Creates Custom SWTOR Loading Screen Template

Turns out, the image used for the Star Wars: The Old Republic loading screens is just that — an image. And it’s pretty easy to replace with whatever you might want to go there, so long as you rename the replacement image LoadingScreen.jpg.

So enterprising Reddit user rainer511 created a PSD template file that allows you to just drop whatever image you want behind the SWTOR logos, creating your own custom loading screen of stellar proportions. If you’ve got Photoshop, you can download the template file right here; you can also use the free image editing program GIMP in place of Adobe’s software.

Once you’ve made your image, you’ll find the LoadingScreen.jpg image in this pathway: Program files/Electronic Arts/Bioware/Star Wars – The Old Republic/swtor/retailclient/LoadingScreensfolder.
