Register: Titanfall “Alpha Trial” on Xbox One this Weekend
UPDATE: The “limited technical test” of Titanfall will be this weekend. Respawn’s Abbie Heppe responded to our request for additional details with the following statement:
“It’s a limited technical test to a small group of users over the weekend. I can’t speak to any other tests/beta/etc.”
We’ll keep you posted.
If you want in on the Titanfall beta, the time to act is now.
A NeoGaf user received an email invitation from EA to register for a Titanfall “alpha trial” on the Xbox One. Fearing it was a scam, the user contacted EA support, who confirmed the invite is legit.
The invitation was tied to the user’s Origin account, so be sure to check your Origin email this morning to see if you are among those EA randomly selected. If not, go ahead and register anyway. The invitation directs to the Standby for Titanfall page on the official Titanfall website. Enter your Origin email, and faster than a mech drops from the sky, you’re registered.
No guarantee you’ll get into this “extremely limited” trial or when it will actually begin, but Respawn does say it will be sending out emails with Xbox One codes in the “coming days.” Also of note: the Standby page says you’re registering for “participation in Titanfall events.” That’s the plural form of event, so it appears this will just be the first Titanfall test (likely the first server stress test) Respawn has planned.
I’ve reached out to Respawn for comment and additional details (any PC test planned?) and will update this post with any response.
