Remedy Teases Something Alongside Alan Wake Steam Sale

Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake franchise is on sale today during the last vestiges of Steam’s holiday sale, and the developer took the chance to tease us about upcoming…somethings.

Over at its Facebook page, Remedy linked to the Steam sale page alongside the following tidbit: “The new year starts with good news: Alan Wake Franchise is -75% on Steam. Even greater Remedy news to come in 2013…” Not too awfully tough to extrapolate that into the official Alan Wake sequel we’ve been waiting for (as most everyone commenting on the link did), but we don’t quite know for sure just yet.

I, for one, am a big fan of Alan Wake’s storytelling and can’t wait for more, so hopefully 2013 will, in fact, be seeing the return of The Writer to the game’s “real world.” Meantime, if you want to get in on Alan Wake, hit this link. You’ll find the whole franchise’s prices slashed by 50 percent (sorry, you missed the 75-percent cut, but this is still pretty good). We rather enjoyed the PC version of the game, and its smaller pseudo-sequel, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, isn’t too bad, either.

Hope so. Loved the first one. Didn’t know just how I would like it, game mechanics suck, but the story had me hooded, just like the walking dead did. Even my action only 12 year old daughter got hooked and is going to try my walking dead. She’s even been wanting more. If it can hook someone who is a twitch only gamer, it’s got something going for it. Can’t wait. Good story driven games are in need, bad. Now if they could give us a good zombie apocolipse rpg, I would be in heaven.
