Report: Battlefield 3 To Be on Two Discs on Xbox 360

Japanese site Hachimaki has a picture of what they say is a poster for Battlefield 3 that says the game will come on “DVD-ROMx2″ on the Xbox 360, which, if you are having trouble comprehending that, means the game will come on two discs for that platform.

And thus begins the gnashing of teeth by all those who will be purchasing the game on the most inferior of formats as well as the mocking by those who will be getting it on PC and PS3, and thus won’t need to switch discs while playing. Assuming this is accurate, anyway, and it may not be. I would say let’s start mocking anyway, but I’ve already been mocking the Xboxers for not getting it on PC, and I don’t really need a new reason to mock.

On your PC. Where you should be playing BF3 anyways. If you have a shred of dignity as a gamer.

Really though, any FPS should be played on the PC. Can’t wait for the new CS, multi-platform… really show the power of the mouse and keyboard.

I dont think BF3 is going to be on two disks, I thought Microsoft was testing a bunch of DVDs that have like 4x the storage a few months ago?

Agree about the microsoft testing of new discs. And I’ll be getting BF3 for PC and MW3 for 360.

Bluray rocks!

I have nephews and cousins that come over and play games. I can just imagine discs going missing and misplaced if each game they opened had 2-3 discs. They don’t put the game away after each play. “hey where’s disc 2/3 for X game?” “Hey why is this 1/2 game disc in this cover?”

The new discs M$ was testing only allow for approx 1 GB of additional space. It wouldn’t be enough.
