Report: Grand Theft Auto 5 PC Pre-Orders Begin Friday
The PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 is real, and it will be up for pre-order in two days.
That’s according to Game Reactor who cites an anonymous manager of a Nordic games retailer as its source. According to this manager, Elgiganten (owned by Dixons Retail UK) will begin taking GTA 5 PC pre-orders on Friday.
“While there’s been no official confirmation of the game arriving on PC, and there’s nothing yet regarding the pre-orders in the UK, the fact that Swedish gamers will be able to reserve their copy of the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is a good indication that it’s on its way,” Game Reactor states.
This is just the latest in a long string of reports to claim GTA 5 will get a PC port. Of note among the swath of rumors: in October we heard that GTA 5 PC would be ready for launch sometime during the first quarter of 2014 (January through March). That rumor would jive with the latest pre-order launch claims.
We’ve contacted Rockstar about this report, and while we fully expect the standard “we don’t comment on rumors and speculation,” we’ll update this post with any response.
