Report: Minecraft Heading to Wii U in 2014

Mojang’s phenomenon Minecraft just hit the PlayStation 3 last week, but its quest for world domination isn’t going to end on PlayStation, Xbox, computer and mobile platforms, apparently. AGB says Minecraft is also heading toward the Wii U, with developer focus being on making use of that console’s giant gamepad (duh).

Is this in any way a surprise? Minecraft is over 30 million copies sold and has to be the most profitable game of the past half-decade, so there are plenty of incentives to try to keep that train moving.

Minecraft. I just don’t get it. Nothing I see of it makes me want to play that.

It’s about time the game was being developed for the Wii U!

Ares, the only reason you don’t get it is because you have never played it, and most people that have it and don’t like it just don’t play properly and think of it as too much of a building game – which is never what Minecraft was intended to be. In reality, it’s more about PVP and an adventure style game, despite how much you hear people talk about it as a building game – that’s one of the biggest misconceptions. In addition, others just play single player and hate it because it’s boring – but single player IS boring, multiplayer, however, with it’s various minigames and all that is not.
