Report: The PS Vita Is Coming to America in February

Aight, so Unbound Gamer and JPS and other sites are saying that the PlayStation Blog briefly had a post that said the PS Vita will be released in North America on February 28. Now, no such blog post currently exists, so we’re stuck in the awkward position of taking their word for, which we hate to do. They have a link but it’s not in Google’s cache, and they didn’t screencap it.

Well, whatevs. Since the Japanese release date was announced last week, I expected more launch dates to come down the pipe soon enough. And if the PS Blog really did let one slip, that probably means the announcement is imminent. Stand by.

Or don’t. As I was digging around for more evidence just now I stumbled upon a NeoGAF posting by someone claiming to be Sid Shuman that says this:

Hi guys, this is Sid from the PlayStation.Blog. This story is bogus, a complete fabrication. If we had accidentally published something on the Blog, you’d see it in the RSS feed.

When there’s a final North American release date, you can be sure we’ll share it on the Blog with the quickness.

Thanks guys.

So I guess disregard the first part of this post maybe.
