Report: Wicked Cool Game Fallout 4 Is Coming To Boston, Kid

Take shelter in Quincy Market, and cheer when the ugly-as-sin Government Center gets vaporized: Fallout 4 *might* be coming to Beantown.

Kotaku reports that its got some bona-fide, leaked casting documents for the next chapter in the Fallout series. The Greatest State in the Union is seemingly getting the video game it deserves.

The casting documents describe some of the other characters in the next Fallout‘s wasteland, like a radio DJ named Travis Miles and an engineer named Sturges who is described as “a cross between Buddy Holly and Vin Diesel.” Casting calls for both the male and female versions of the player character note that the player begins the game in a cryogenic sleep chamber.

Two such pages are embedded in the post; the first page outlines the game’s introduction, which talks about how the world unraveled (resources wars!). The second page goes into detail about a character named Preston Garvey, and his mission to “…salvage a fusion core from a museum in the Commonwealth.”

As a PC-loving Masshole living in Los Angeles, nothing would make me happier than a Fallout game set in the Bay State, but let’s all take this with a grain of salt for now. We all know what happened the last time we got excited about Fallout 4 news.

When reached earlier today, Bethesda representatives re-affirmed that they don’t comment on rumor and speculation.

I for one believe this would make a great game. Make it happen, Bethesda!

I’ll believe it when there is an official announcement.

I won’t believe it even when they do make an official announcement. I will deny the existence of Fallout 4 even while I’m playing the game. I will maintain that it is all a very elaborate hoax until my dying days.

Loved Fallout 1 immensely, but couldn’t get into the later ones. Hope this will be a “return to form” (yes, I know that Fallout 2 is probably the best game ever made). As long as it’s like Fallouts 1 and 2 and not Fallout 3 (bless it’s “just different” soul), I’ll be a happy camper. :D

well…based on that tidbit it could also take place in Pennsylvania, Virginia or Kentucky.
