Reset Crowd Funding Begins — Sci-Fi Noir First Person Puzzler

First person puzzle game Reset has entered its crowd-funding phase, seeking to raise €65,000 (approximately $87,000) by Dec. 23.

Reset is a singleplayer cooperative game. Yes, I did not misspeak. The game’s gimmick is the ability to travel back in time to solve puzzles cooperatively with… yourself. The developers describe the mechanic as follows:

“You multiply yourself by first marking a place/time of re-entry in the game world and then proceeding to complete one part of a puzzle. You then reset (jump back in time) to the re-entry mark creating two separate co-existing timelines. But the mechanic is not limited to two timelines, more elaborate puzzles have multiple timelines for some serious mind fun.”

This sci-fi noir promises to have around six hours of brain teasing gameplay, but your playthrough may last longer depending on how much time you spend exploring the mysteries of the game world.

The game is still in pre-alpha phase, but here’s a gameplay trailer:

I don’t understand how, or why, but that trailer moved me.
