Rhythm n' Notes Playing Soon

rhythmnnotes.jpgIn this day and age where music education in the US is seeing less and less emphasis and school funding, a video game is stepping in to fill in the gaps in our children’s education. According to Eurogamer, Agetec will be releasing a new edutainment title for the Nintendo DS, Rhythm n’ Notes. The title covers the basics of music theory including reading notes and time signatures and understanding chord make up. The game promises to make learning music fun.

“Educational games that are truly fun are hard to come by. Rhythm ‘n Notes gets it right with addictive, enriching play,” said Mark Johnson, producer at Agetec.

The format is keyboard based and has a practice mode for players to get into the swing of things. Look for Rhythm n’ Notes to hit the shelves this Fall.
