Robotoki Office Experiences Brief Break-In

Once arguably the human face of Call of Duty, Robert Bowling is finding that life in the indie space with his studio Robotoki is eventful in its own way. In May, the studio’s home base was raided by the LAPD, and tonight a pair of aspiring criminals broke open the front door only to find Bowling himself, ahem, bowling down the stairs at them, which sent them running scared. The occurrence was captured by a security camera, which Bowling posted on Instagram.

The incident turned out to be mostly harmless, as nothing was stolen and no one was hurt — this all took place after hours this evening, when only Bowling and one other staffer were still present. Still, it’s a bit disconcerting, as Robotoki once again finds itself in the news for reasons unrelated (probably) to what it is working on. Although for a studio that hasn’t yet released a game these unintentional attention-drawing events can’t be all bad in the long run.
