ROCCAT to Release Three New Gaming Mice by November
Hamburg-based manufacturer of competition gaming peripherals ROCCAT Studios is set to release three new gaming mice in about a month: the ROCCAT Kone XTD – Max Customization Gaming Mouse, the ROCCAT Kone Pure – Core Performance Gaming Mouse, and the ROCCAT Lua – Tri-Button Gaming Mouse.
Both the Kone XTD and Kone Pure are loaded with the latest 8200 DPI Pro Aim R3 laser sensor and the most advanced Tracking & Distance Control Unit around. The Lua features a fully-adjustable Pro-Optic sensor in an ambidextrous V-shape with No-Sweat side grips.
I reviewed ROCCAT’s Kone[+], the father of the Kone XTD and Kone Pure, and it’s a solid gaming mouse that feels great and allows for advanced macro functionality when paired with ROCCAT’s keyboard, the Isku. My only issue was the scroll wheel, which became unreliable after a while, but ROCCAT is on top of it: the Kone XTD and Kone Pure will feature an advanced new scroll wheel -– the toughest and most reliable ever designed. According to ROCCAT, the new wheel is “built to last and engineered to own.”
The Kone XTD, Kone Pure and Lua are expected to hit shelves toward the end of October/beginning of November, with a suggested retail price of $89.99 (Kone XTD), $69.99 (Kone Pure), $29.99 (Lua).
