Rock Band 3 Getting Re-release with Mad Catz Instruments

In a bit of news that comes as a surprise to everyone — or maybe just me — Mad Catz has annound that they’ve dcome to an agreement with Harmonix to release a new Rock Band 3 bundle that will come with the Mad Catz Wireless Keyboard Controller, Wireless Fender Stratocaster Guitar controller and Wireless Fender Mustang PRO-Guitar controller. Or at least they “anticipate” that.

And now is the part where you heckle Mad Catz for thinking anyone who doesn’t already have Rock Band 3 is even remotely still interested in it. Muzic gamez r ded, yo.

But wait, we have a quote that makes this story more interesting. Mad Catz CEO Darren Richardson: “We are pleased to assume publishing responsibilities for Rock Band 3 this holiday season.”

Interesting. So Rock Band 3 is Mad Catz’ first publishing job. Talk about starting off slowly.
