Amazon and Gamestop have Rock Band listed for pre-order on their websites, and apparently the box art and bundle art is final. Personally, I think they could have done a better job on these. They are very sedated and…. oh, why beat around the bush – they look boring as hell. The pictures I pulled are not very large so you may have to squint until we get the official ones from Electronic Arts.

I think they are going with a little psychological approach. The silhouettes are supposed to give the impression that YOU are part of a rock band, as opposed to you playing the role of some cartoon’ish game character in a rock band.
Ya see, that’s what seperates Rock Band from Guitar Hero. Rock band is being real serious about the whole musician wannabe genre. Yeah it’s still a game, but why not try to make it a little more like a realistic fantasy?
I guess the ADD kiddies with their rainbow color attraction will pass this box by.
