A representative for EA sent us a quick message to clarify some information from a couple articles we posted earlier. For starters, the newly released RockBand microphone mistakenly lists that it is compatible with the Wii version. While this error may have prematurely revealed the coming Wii version that was just announced today, according to PDP, the mic itself will not be compatible with the forthcoming Wii version:
“PDP is an official licensee of Rock Band merchandise which include Rock Band microphones as well as USB Hubs. Our packaging mistakenly states that that the microphone is compatible with the Wii. Unfortunately, this is not the case and will be corrected in future versions of the packaging. We apologize for the confusion.”
The EA rep also noted that an MTV/Harmonix spokesman has stated that the schedule for DLC in March’s issue of OXM is merely “a tentative schedule and subject to change.” We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.
