Looks like the standalone peripherals for RockBand have already begun to quietly make their way to store shelves. There are reports coming in of people buying branded microphones for $50 in the U.S. right now. That’s not quite as interesting as three little letters written on the packaging though: W-I-I. Could someone in the manufacturing department missed the fact that the game isn’t available for the Wii? At this time, there’s been no announcement for a Wii version of RockBand, but this makes it seem like a possibility. Unless the mic is intended for an upcoming Virtual Console release of Hey You, Pikachu! (please, God, no).
