Rockman 20th Anniversary Tribute


Ah, Rockman. (aka Megaman) I can hardly believe it has been 20 years. Megaman 2 basically defined everything that was great about gaming in my childhood, while Iceman from Megaman 1 is still haunting my dreams. The series moved on from there, remixing the classing gameplay until it reached the zenith, Megaman X. The X series is lauded by some as taking the title in a strange direction, but I cannot imagine someone who played the original X for the SNES not falling completely in love with it.

Capcom is celebrating the anniversary of everyone’s favorite blue bomber with a video showcasing all 20 years of the series. This video is a great look back at the advancements the series has made over the years. They also debuted the wonderful artwork shown above, (click here for wallpaper goodness) and extra points to anyone who can name all the characters.

Some things never change. Mario will always bust bricks, Sonic will always run fast, and Megaman will always blow stuff up. Here’s to you Capcom, let’s have another great 20 years. Now if I could only beat Iceman…
