Rockstar Addressing Red Dead Redemption Invisibility Bug
Like most everyone else, I’ve been playing Red Dead Redemption daily since it released Tuesday, and it’s a blast. However, there are some issues that are quite annoying.
The biggest of these issues is the game‘s penchant for turning my enemies, my gun, my horse, or me completely invisible. As you might expect, this makes shooting enemies and determining whether or not I’m cover rather difficult.
Rockstar is aware of the problem, telling Kotaku that Rockstar is, “really happy with how well Red Dead Redemption has been received by the community on both platforms so far. We’re aware of the issues some people are experiencing on multiplayer and we’re working hard to fix them.”
Wanna see this bug in action? We’ve got a video detailing it, as well as Rockstar’s comments on what to do when you have issues, after the break.
Apparently the problem isn’t limited to one console, as users are reporting it on both PS3 and XBox 360, although it does seem to be localized to certain areas of the map (at least in my experience). I have not encountered this in the single player game, only in online multiplayer.
There’s no definite word yet on when a patch will be ready, but until then Rockstar advises that, “if you’re having issues please email RDRSupportteam@rockstargames.com. We are also actively on the forums helping people with any questions they may have about the game. Thank you all for your support and we look forward to getting a fix out as quickly as soon as we can.”
