Rockstar Confirms Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year Edition
Update: Whoops, I was wrong — there is a price. According to the Official Playstation Blog, Red Dead Redemption GOTY will run you $50.
Still haven’t picked up all that Red Dead Redemption DLC that’s floating around (including the new pack, Myths & Mavericks, that just hit)? Holster your pistol, there, friend — you may want to wait until October to mount up.
Rockstar has confirmed that it’ll be releasing a Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year edition coming next month. It includes all the DLC up to this point, including Undead Nightmare and Solomon’s Folly, a portion of the game previously only available to PS3 players.
Here’s the rundown of the rest of the DLC in the package:
- The Legends and Killers Multiplayer Pack: Adds nine new maps, eight characters from Red Dead Revolver, and new weapons including the tomahawk.
- The Liars and Cheats Multiplayer Pack: Expands the Free Roam multiplayer with multiplayer poker, liar’s dice, horse racing with combat as well as new gang hideouts and hunting grounds and a new competitive mode — Stronghold.
- The Outlaws to the End Co-op Mission Pack: Adds six new co-op missions for 2-4 players.
- The Myths and Mavericks Bonus Pack: Features new multiplayer characters and locations.
Rockstar hasn’t pulled out a price point yet, but I’d expect it to be near $60 despite Red Dead being a year old at this point. That’s an insane amount of content, after all. The GOTY edition is due on Oct. 11.
