Rockstar Job Description Points Towards GTA 5 PC Port

Rockstar has yet to make any announcements with regards to plans to port either Red Dead Redemption or the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5 to the PC, but the studio may be on the brink of doing just that as a recent job listing points towards the possibility.

The recent job listing for Rockstar Leeds called for a “graphic programmer” that would endeavor to “help bring our latest titles to the PC platform.” The vacancy has since been removed, but not before PC Gamer captured the full description, seen below:

“Rockstar Leeds are currently looking for a talented graphics programmer to help bring our latest titles to the PC platform. Working together with the other Rockstar studios, you will be responsible for maintaining the studio’s uncompromising quality bar, delivering the highest quality PC experience possible.”

As Red Dead Redemption is already three years old, it seems unlikely that they would have any plans to port the game to the PC, making it more likely that the job description pertains to GTA 5, which has yet to be released. All the studio’s more recent titles, including LA Noire and Max Payne 3, were released on the PC.

Sounds like good news for us PC gamers. Even if it is Red Dead Redemption instead of GTA 5, I’ll be a happy man frankly. Of course both will be awesome :)

What Vailbhav said. Frankly I hope they do both…they’d really be fools not to. From what I’ve read, fully a third of PC gamers don’t own consoles (although a lot of them own tablets, so that’s *kind* of a console). The only question is how many of those PC purists have machines capable of high-end gaming.

Red Dead Redemption is way past overdue on PC.

I’ll be sorely dissapointed if it’s not GTA,

I have Red Dead on Xbawks, and it’s not worth the rumors and hype that this leak is making.

There is no way R* wouldn’t release this on PC.
