Rockstar Games filed an appeal yesterday with the Video Appeals Committee in the UK over the Manhunt 2 ban. The VAC has the power to overturn any rule or regulation filed by the British Board of Film Classification, which were the ones to ban the video game for “unremitting bleakness and callousness of tone”. Rockstar notified the VAC yesterday, after waiting the required six weeks to form their appeal.
What happens next is anyone’s guess – a date has to be set for a hearing, which will allow both sides to plead their cases and allow the VAC to view demonstrations of the game. John Woods, the VAC chairman will be deciding who will preside over the hearing, and thus determine Manhunt 2‘s fate in the UK.
Stay tuned for more information as it develops.

That’s awesome, but it would be really great if they actually got the rating overturned.

Yes they should get this overturned. Its only a game. If a person wants to play this why not. They did the similar with Thrill Kill for the PS one. It got a adult raiting and was never officialy released. I played Thrill Kill and can tell you that it was a fun game , and no worse than Mortal Kombat at the time. If Thrill kill had a new Xbox 360 version id buy that, the same goes for Manhunt 2, because its only a game.
Just put this game out and let the people decide. We have worse things on TV and movies and in the world than this video game.

you are right.
they should release the game and get over it. i think who ever has all the u-no blueprints and copyrights to it may be holding out for the bigg bucks. I mean come on it’s been about over 10 years since iv’e played the game and i still want it. i was told it’s a downloadable version online but i would like to get the real game like i played on a japan console before. it was like no other game i’ve ever seen or played. if you or anyone could help me out with information on how to get a copy just e-mail me.
