The US Housing Market has been quite a wild ride. It had it’s up the last several years although currently it’s going down. Speculativebubble has posted a unique graphical representation of the US markets rise and fall over the years. Richard Hodge posted A History of Home Values from 1890 to today as a roller coaster generated with RollerCoaster Tycoon. The data was compiled by Yale economist Robert J. Schiller. A more traditional graph accompanies the video for those of you who get motion sickness on roller coasters.
Just about any board meeting could be much more fun if others used this graphical representation. “Get your hands up in the air everyone! We’ve had a rough 3rd Quarter.”

That’s got to be one of the best visual representations for anything graph-plottable ever. I also liked how it provided you with the dates aswell, so you knew generally what was going on and where. Very clever.
