KOEI Entertainment Singapore announced yesterday that its inaugural production, Romance of the Three Kingdoms Online (English working title), has been launched in Japan. This is an all-new MMORPG offering players a chance to experience life during the historic 2nd and 3rd centuries of China’s Han Dynasty.
“Romance of the Three Kingdoms Online is the first Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) which is developed in Singapore. Koei is a recognised leader in games and we are proud that Koei’s Singapore team has contributed to the company’s pioneering game development reputation. This is a landmark development which underscores Singapore’s reputation as an Interactive & Digital Media capital, where creations are made for global consumption,” said Mr Manohar Khiatani, Assistant Managing Director, Singapore Economic Development Board.
The highly-anticipated launch of Romance of the Three Kingdoms Online comes after successful customer trials in Japan and will initially only launching in Japan, the game will be followed by localized launches in select territories around the world. North America Included? We will just have to wait and see, but normally when Japan gets something as lauded as the Romance of the Three Kingdoms franchise, one can say with a high probability that eventually we will see it as well – so take heart and stay tuned.

I guess that there is nothing better to do huh. It has been stated clearly in the news article that it came out of koei, and that it has not been fully released in other parts of the world other than Japan. Surely you didn’t post that to spoil their business, did you?
Furthermore, there are so many games revolving around this theme. You cannot just point your finger at them just because they have the same theme too =)
