RSI Releases New Video of Star Citizen with In-Game Graphics

Roberts Space Industries has put out a new trailer for the upcoming crowdfunded game, Star Citizen, showcasing state of the art graphics powered by the game’s engine. The trailer is designed as an advertisement to get more people onboard the crowdfunding campaign for the game.

The video is done in the form of a fictional advertisement for an Origin Jumpworks spacecraft in the 300 Series. The name of the company itself is an homage to Chris Roberts’ former studio, Origin Systems, where he created the Wing Commander series of games in the mid-’90s. More trailers are expected to be released showcasing other spacecraft in the game.

Star Citizen was crowdfunded to the tune of $10 million—a number which continues to grow as Roberts Space Industries is leaving it open for would-be backers to opt-in with new packages to choose from.
